Kompleks Kraf Kuala Lumpur redevelopment

Kompleks Kraf Kuala Lumpur site in Jalan Conlay is set to be redeveloped into a mixed development comprising office, retail, office, hotel and serviced apartment. Little known developer, Hedgeland Realty Sdn Bhd,  has submitted development proposal to DBKL on 25 October 2017.

The proposed development, will comprise a total of 6 towers – the highest at 70-storey and lowest at 25-storey. Based on the plan submitted, it will have 2 office towers, 70-storey and 55-storey high, a 25-storey hotel block with 500 rooms, 3 serviced apartment towers of 50 and 55-storey with total of 2,240 units and a 4-storey retail podium located within a 9-storey podium. The gross development value (GDV) of the project is expected to be at RM6 bil.

Other mega developments in the surrounding areas include KSK’s 8 Conlay, Lot 301 (6.8 acres) by Pelaburan Hartanah Bhd, Lot 342 (3.46 acres) owned by Kelana Ventures Sdn Bhd, which is controlled by Tan Sri syed Mokhtar Albukhary and Lot 297 (1.24 acres) owned by Armani Hartajaya Sdn Bhd, which is controlled by Pavilion Group’s Tan Sri Desmond Lim. Lot 342 and 297 was slated for Harrods KL initially but the plan was scrapped later on.

The Kompleks Kraf building is likely to be relocated and it is rumoured that it will be relocated to Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad in Jalan Raja, oppposite Dataran Merdeka.
