MyTown Shopping Centre – New Shopping Mall in Kuala Lumpur city

MyTown Shopping Centre, a joint development by Boustead Group and Ikano Retail Asia, has officially opened on March 16, 2017.

The 5 storey mall has about 460 retail stores with a total retail space of 1.6 million sq. ft. (including IKEA Cheras). Anchor tenants include the biggest Ikea and Zara stores in Malaysia, Malaysia’s first Best flagship, Food Empire, Golden Screen Cinemas, H&M, Parkson Department Store and Village Grocer. Currently, more than 70% of the mall is occupied with some of the retailers already operating. The rest of the tenants are expected to be operating by April 2017.

The mall also offers 2 acres of outdoor parks for various activities and outdoor events. It includes ramps and tracks for rollerblading and skateboarding. A Sunken Garden features amphitheater-style. MyTown is also amongst the first mall to incorporate Soundscapes, where custom made compositions and designed sounds are played throughout the mall. The mall has 6,500 parking bays with dedicated bays for ladies, disabled drivers, families, car pooling groups, motorcyclists and green vehicles. MyTown has also been awarded green building status by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) and Malaysian Green Building Index.


MyTown is accessible via New Pantai Expressway (NPE), the Smart Tunnel, KL-Seremban Highway and the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), and has a dedicated new access ramp from the Maju Expressway (MEX).  Upon completion of the MRT line in June/July 2017, there will be direct access tunnel from Cochrane and Maluri Underground MRT station to the mall.
