Goldis Berhad plans senior living apartments in Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur

Steady Paramount Sdn Bhd, a company of Goldis Berhad, proposed to build 292 units of ‘senior living’ apartments in affluent Bukit Damansara/Damansara Heights.

The proposed senior living development, comprises of 4 blocks of apartment ranging from 4 storeys to 19 storeys, with a total of 292 units ‘senior living’ apartment. The land is located next to Villa Ledang and 10 Damansara Heights, along Jalan Kota in Bukit Damansara. The land is zoned residential but the developer has applied to convert the land zoning to commercial.

Senior Living is a new concept of living in Malaysia that has gained traction recently. Senior Living is a retirement community for like-minded seniors seeking a choice of lifestyle they desire with the necessary level of assistance. It is usually cater for seniors aged 60 and above and designed with elderly-friendly features, scheduled interactive activities and professional care services.

The first luxury retirement community comprises of independent and assisted living units was introduced by a consortium made up of Pelaburan Hartanah Bhd, UEM Group Bhd and Medical Care Service Inc (MCS) in May 2018, with their first project known as Rei Seraya in Jalan Ampang, next to Gleneagles Hospital.
